This is Part One of a multi-parted screencast inspired by my presentation at OFSHEEA this past November 5th, 2011. This introductory screencast sets the stage and framework for using SmartPhones and teablts in the learning environment of students. Often, the term “phones” in “SmartPhones” is the misnomer and prblemmatic componet of discussing these devices in trms of the teacning-learning cyle. In fact, these devices are far more than phones – they are mini-computers – capable of everything a computer is and more. Essentially, we need to understand what these devices actually are, how our students are using them, and how we can capture them for experiecnes of learning.
This screencast accompanies my blog post entitled “Why You Need to Add Smartphones and Tablets to Your Learning Environment”
