Well not too promising so far. I put the hard drive into the casing, plugged it into my laptop, and the hard drive is not registering files at all. Looks like a complete hard drive failure. Normally, at this stage, I would not be too pleased, but fortunately I do have previous backups on my server so I will be able to pull the drivers from there. Just another reminder that constant backups when using computers is absolutely necessary.You never know when any piece of equipment inside, and such as the hard drive, is going to fail. So time to open the new hard drive, put it into the case of the computer, and then load windows on to it (after I get the drivers from the back up).
All set and ready for the installation…
